What's open, closed Monday

Sep 1, 2011 - 06:01 PM

A lot of Valley residents will be looking at a three-day weekend as Monday is Labor Day. And because it's a holiday, most government offices will be closed on Monday.

The City of Sonoma offices will be closed Monday as will most Sonoma County offices in Santa Rosa.

The Sonoma Valley Regional Library is still closed and won't reopen until Friday, Sept. 9, in Burlingame Hall.

The offices of the Valley of the Moon Water District are closed.

There are no classes for students in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District Monday, nor are there classes at Kenwood Elementary School.

There is no service on the Sonoma County Transit.

Garbage pickup will be pushed back a day all week for both the Sonoma Garbage Collector in Sonoma and Redwood Empire Waste in the county. This means if your trash is usually picked up Monday, it will be picked up Tuesday instead, Tuesday back to Wednesday and so on.

All banks are closed for Labor Day.

The office of the Index-Tribune will be closed Monday.
