THE INAUGURAL BASEBALL Equipment Drive – with the donated equipment being distributed to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley – will take place from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 13, and Sunday, Aug. 14, at Hughes Field next to Depot Park. Anyone interested in donating can drop off bats, baseballs, gloves, cleats, bat-bags or catchers gear in front of the Hughes Field snack bar each weekend morning. SONOMA AQUATIC CLUB (formerly Agua Caliente Aquatic Center) is still registering for its summer swim programs for ages 3-months-old to adults at the SAC site, 17350 Vailetti Drive. The programs include swim lessons (ages 3-and-older); stroke school (ages 5-and-older, deep-water safe); Sea Dragon swim team (novice/competitive – ages 5-and-older); junior lifeguard camps (ages 7-to-14); parent and tot water classes (ages 3-to-36 months); and adults and masters swim programs. There are also water polo clinics and fall fun-nights for ages 7-to-15 and adult categories. SONOMA BOCCE BALL Association has started summer league play at the bocce courts south of the gazebo in Depot Park, with the nine-week league sessions ending on Wednesday, Nov. 2. New members are welcome and there are currently openings in the Saturday morning 9 a.m. league.
