Week of action at home for Sonoma on court, field, in pool

There will be plenty of action this week on the court and the field, as well as in the pool for three Sonoma Valley High School fall sports programs.
The volleyball Lady Dragons will host their two longtime Sonoma County League rivals in Pfeiffer Gym, with El Molino coming to town tonight, and defending champion Analy arriving this Thursday, Oct. 6, with both evenings of matches starting with the freshmen at 4, followed by the junior varsity at 5, and the varsity at 6:30 p.m.

Sonoma’s boys’ and girls’ cross country teams are hosting Healdsburg and perennial power Petaluma in their SCL tri-meet opener a 4 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Maxwell Farms Regional Park 2.7-mile course.

The Dragon boys’ and girls’ water polo teams will host Redwood Empire League foe Ukiah in their home openers at 4 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the Sonoma Aquatic Club pool.
