Valley baseball pro Everidge player of month for Lancaster; Lady Dragons win in volleyball, fall in golf, soccer

 

Glen Ellen’s Tommy Everidge, who plays professional independent-league baseball for Pennsylvania’s Lancaster Barnstormers, was named the Atlantic League's player of the month for August yesterday.

Everidge – a 2001 Sonoma Valley High School graduate and former Dragon star prep player and collegiate All-American at Sonoma State University – batted .394 with seven homers and 36 RBIs in Lancaster’s 27 games in the month.

Sonoma Valley High School’s varsity volleyball girls swept past Terra Linda on the nonleague road yesterday, while the golf and soccer Lady Dragon were upended by Windsor and Montgomery in Sonoma County League and nonleague home matches, respectively.
