Two vets say thanks for lunch

  We are writing this letter to publicly thank the Sonoma woman who anonymously paid for our lunch at the Creekside Inn on 11/11/11.

  We were there for lunch, wearing our respective service baseball caps, having a sandwich and a couple of beers in honor of Veterans Day. When it came time to pay the bill, the owner told us a woman had already paid as a thank you for our service to our country.

  Both of us, being Vietnam vets and alumni of SVHS, Class of ’64, are hoping she reads this thank you in your paper and knows it made us truly feel we were again in the small town of Sonoma of 1964.
