Troubled by $1.5 million roundabout

May I clarify my "no" vote at the July 27 SVCAC meeting?

I think roundabouts are great. I hope we see more of them on Sonoma County roads, as well as here in Sonoma Valley. The Four Corners intersection where Highway 12 and 121 converge might be such a spot.

It's the allocation of public funds for a large scale, $1.5 million capital project, without significant public input, that troubles me. I wish I knew more about how Prop. M funds are disbursed and what this means for other proposed road projects in the valley.

Kudos to David Bolling on the July 29 editorial: I think he got it right.
