Transition hosts 'Economics of Happiness'

Transition Sonoma Valley will host the film, "The Economics of Happiness," as part of its continuing film series.

The film will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in Room 110 at the at the Sonoma Community Center, 276 E. Napa St. in Sonoma. Following the film the audience will be invited to provide feedback

The movie features a chorus of voices from six continents including Samdhong Rinpoche, the prime minister of Tibet's government in exile, Vandana Shiva, Bill McKibben, David Korten and Zac Goldsmith. They talk about climate change and peak oil and the need to localize, to bring the economy home.

Admission is free and light refreshments will be provided.
