Tickets for Sonoma Valley Museum of Art_s annual Wet Paint gala are now available. The party on Saturday, Sept. 10, festivities bring a cosmopolitan Las Vegas flair to the museum.

Event committee member Michael Muscardini is enthusiastic about the new direction. "We've taken the traditional auction out of this event," he said "We are still doing Fund-A-Need, but there won't be a stretch of listening to bidding on items. We're planning a fast paced and fun experience while remembering that the ultimate goal is to raise money to support the museum."

This year's Fund-A-Need is to replenish the Charlotte Lamb Exhibition Reserve Fund. The fund, established in 2008 to honor the Sonoma Valley philanthropist and community supporter, helps defray costs associated with presenting the museum's high-profile exhibitions, like this summer's show of David Hockney etchings.

Evening activities will include dancing and delicious food, Funny Money gaming with 21 Fun Casino, live music and a few surprises. One highlight is sure to be a raffle for an 18-karat white gold diamond and sapphire pendant donated by Vineyard Jewelers.

In addition to Pascoe and Muscardini, this year's Wet Paint committee includes Jeff Zimmerman, Frank Cavez, Rick Tackett, Christine Curry, Jane Milotich, Gerry Snedaker, Jackie Lee, Lance Walker, Jim Lamb and museum Director Kate Eilertsen. Linda McCulloch of Cuisine by Lela is providing the meal and Kristi Amoroso is the event planner.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets are $250.
