The members of Faith Lutheran Church and its Tea Committee will host their sixth annual Ladies’ Tea on Saturday, May 21. The day will begin at noon with an outdoor patio champagne reception during which time a silent auction will allow guests an opportunity to bid on various auction items.

High Tea will be served at 12:30 p.m. in the church’s Goehring Hall. The parish has accumulated an assortment of elegant table settings, including all tea accoutrements. Each table will have its own personal server, all of whom are male members of the congregation who volunteer their time for the occasion. The tea traditional tea served is grown in South Carolina, and will be specially flown in for the day.

The Tea Committee has been diligently researching new recipes and is planning a tantalizing menu including of a variety of sandwiches, homemade scones, clotted cream and lemon curd, all followed by an assortment of scrumptious desserts.

Back this year by popular demand is a fashion show with clothing provided by the Total Look. Barbara Mezzetta, proprietor of the Total Look, will coordinate spring fashions from the variety of styles and colors available at her shop, located at 450 First St. E. in Sonoma.

The cost of the luncheon is $28 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. With limited seating, this popular event sells out quickly, so reservations are required.
