Suggestion lacks sense

I do not know Patti Kozlovsky, but for anyone to suggest that Joanne Sanders or, for that matter, any city councilmember recuse themselves from the Economic Development Advisory Committee because they own a business in the city of Sonoma truly lacks common sense. Would she have only those on the council with little or no economic experience?

Joanne Sanders' business is responsible for putting hundreds of people to work in Sonoma Valley for more than 10 years. All in Sonoma stand to gain when our vacant buildings are occupied and the unemployed have jobs. Remember who pays taxes and that those taxes make for a healthier city.It is the responsibility of the city council to balance the budget. So when electing City Councilmembers, be informed and hope that those elected are not so arrogant as to forget the business community.
