Spitzer named interim Flowery principal

Mary Ann Spitzer has been named interim principal at Flowery Elementary School.

Spitzer will assume the interim position while Principal Esmeralda Moseley is on maternity leave. Moseley’s leave will begin in December and she will return to work mid-April 2012.

Spitzer is currently the academic coordinator at Flowery. During her eight years at Flowery, Spitzer has also worked as a resource specialist and the school’s Title 3 coordinator.

As a current member of the Flowery staff, Spitzer is familiar with its Spanish/English Dual Immersion program. She also works closely with the staff in all aspects of the program as well as the school’s outreach to parents and community.
