Soroptimists to sell lobsters

  Soroptimist International Sonoma Valley is now selling live Maine lobsters to raise funds for the myriad of social programs it supports. Advance orders are necessary by Wednesday, Nov. 16.  

  Lobsters sell for $25 each. To order call Amy Leader at 291-0753.

  Lobster tickets are also available at the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce, 651 Broadway; and Grazia Bianchi Salon, 238 W. Napa St. The lobsters arrive in San Francisco from Maine on Saturday, Nov. 19. The lobsters, either live or cooked, can be picked up that day at the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  Proceeds from the sales are used to support Soroptimist local projects, which include donations to scholarships such as the Youth Service Award; youth activities such as Road to Reality for high school seniors, Movin’ On for middle school graduates, Newspapers in Education in grade schools, the Teen Parent program, Sonoma Valley Teen Services,Grad Night, the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Hot Chocolate with Santa in the Plaza. The Sorpotimists also supports Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation, Relay For Life and the Sonoma Overnight Shelter.
