After starting his National Football League career with the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers of the National Football Conference in 2006, Sonoma’s Tony Moll, 27, then found himself plying his trade as an offesnive lineman in the American Football Conference when he was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in 2009.
Entering this season as an unrestricted free agent, the 6-foot, 5-inch, 315-pound Moll – a 2001 Sonoma Valley High School graduate and former prep (the Dragons) and college (University of Nevada, Reno) star – had to wait out the NFL’s labor shutdown and the post-settlement signing-and-trading frenzy before deciding to stay in the AFC by signing on Tuesday to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
