Sonoma woman killed in Cavedale wreck
A 52-year-old Sonoma woman was killed Monday when her vehicle ran off Cavedale Road.
Officer Jaret Paulson, with the California Highway Patrol’s Napa office, identified the woman as Barbara Bradley, 52, of Sonoma.
Paulson said authorities aren’t sure when the accident occurred but it was discovered shortly after 6 p.m. Monday.
Paulson said that a witness reported the accident mid-day Monday, but authorities couldn’t find anything at that time. Later in the day, the witness took authorities to the site and that’s when the vehicle was discovered 50 feet down a cliff on Cavedale.
Paulson said Bradley, driving a 1999 Chevy pickup truck was eastbound on Cavedale, when for an unknown reason, her vehicle left the south side of the road, overturned several times before dropping 50 feet down a cliff.
Paulson said Bradley wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and sustained fatal injuries.
Paulson said witnesses can call the CHP’s Napa office at 253-4906.
“Right now, there’s a lot of unknowns,” Paulson said Tuesday.
