Sonoma woman dies in Davis accident

A Sonoma woman died in a single-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on I-80 in Davis.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Heather Sieren, 43, was eastbound on I-80 at about 12:20 a.m. and was traveling at a high rate of speed. Sieren attempted to change lanes, but she overshot her lane and drove into the center divider. She lost control of her 2004 Suburu and went back across all three lanes onto the right-hand shoulder where her vehicle overturned and struck a tree.

The CHP said Sieren was not wearing a seatbelt and that speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the wreck.
