If you’ve been to a theater show in Sonoma, you have very likely seen Maxime Simonet somewhere in the production. Now the homegrown talent shares his skills as an actor, writer and musician with his original one-man show, simply called “One Man,” which can be seen at the Sonoma Community Center in Andrews Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 3 or 10, at 8 p.m.

In collaboration with Jaime Love and Sonoma Theatre Alliance, Simonet, 22, is furiously working on rehearsing and developing his monologues, rants and sacrilegious shouts for the stage. The show is to be a combination of jokes, dramatic pieces and original songs all compiled into one spectacle.

Simonet may be known to some Sonomans for his extended theatrical resume with Sonoma community theater, most recently portraying Riff Raff in the CAPS production of “The Rocky Horror Show.” Last summer he starred in the comedy revue “Ze Show,” as well as directed and produced a night of original theater entitled “A Small Theatrical Beta” with a group of his peers.

Simonet has just graduated from Hampshire College where he studied storytelling primarily through the mediums of film and theater.

The number of seats in the house will be limited, and tickets, which are 10$ for adults or 8$ for students with ID, will only be sold at the door. The Sonoma Community Center is located at 276 E. Napa St.
