Sharon Durbin

Sharon Durbin passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2011, with family beside her at Marin General Hospital.

Sharon was born and raised in San Francisco and Daly City. She lived and worked in San Francisco for more than 30 years. After 30-plus years with OMI/IKON, Sharon retired to Sonoma in December 2003.

Many will remember Sharon for her impeccable style, entertaining friends in her wonderful garden, travels to all parts of the world and her unwavering love for her yorkies. She enjoyed the Sonoma community as a Sonoma Newcomer volunteer and made friends in many social groups.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her nephew, Scott Tomasi and wife, Sharon; cousins, Janis Orner and Susan Mann; and brother-in-law, Thomas Tomasi and many, many friends.

A memorial service is scheduled to celebrate Sharon's life on Sunday, Feb. 20, from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Creekside Village Clubhouse at 159 Avenida Barbera, Sonoma. Please confirm your attendance by calling 805-252-9339 by Feb. 13.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon's honor may be made to the American Heart Association, cancer research, animal rescue and the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation.
