Sean Dean Flores

Sean Flores, 21, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2011. Sean was born in Sonoma on May 3, 1989. He and his family moved to Susanville in 2000, where he graduated from Long Valley Charter School in 2007.

Sean is survived by his mother Cherie Flores, American Canyon; father, Robert Flores, Reno; grandparents, Ron and Connie McCann, Sonoma, Robert and Maxine Flores, Alabama and Juanita and George Kell, Susanville; great-grandparents, Tom and Hazel Phillips, Sonoma; sister, Amber Gipson and nephew, Cody Beaty, Idaho; uncles and aunts, Matt and Amber Howlett, Sonoma, and Bruce and Jonna Flores, Reno; cousins, Allison and Alicia Howlett, Erik, Taylor and Sara Flores and numerous other relatives.

Sean was very loving, creative and artistic, enthusiastically enjoying music, art, nature, hiking, camping, animals and traveling. Sean will be dearly missed by those he touched and left behind.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Sonoma Valley Community Church, Sonoma.

Sean's family has designated the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for memorial contributions - 49 Stevenson Street, Suite 100, San Francisco, CA 94105.
