Scott completes CHP cadet training

Timothy Scott of Sonoma has successfully completed California Highway Patrol cadet training and is currently assigned to duty at the CHP’s San Francisco office.

Scott is a 2001 graduate of Sonoma Valley High School who later graduated from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelor’s degree in criminal administration. Prior to joining the CHP, he worked as a shipping manager for Benzinger Family Winery.

Cadet training for Scott included vehicle patrol, accident investigation, first aid, apprehension, and arrest of suspected violators. Training at the CHP Academy included traffic control, writing reports, recovery of stolen vehicles, assisting the motoring public, issuing citations, and emergency scene management.
