SONOMA LIFE - Wet Paint
Gene Daly (The King), Kelly Ostendorf
The fall seems to be the season for fundraisers in our Valley. It is impossible to attend all the events but we try. Sometimes you just can’t say no, especially when is Dan and Tery Parks asking us to join them at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art’s Wet Paint.
Guess who else showed up at the Museum? Elvis! He made a surprise appearance, passing out gold scarves and strutting onstage to sing “Viva Las Vegas” to a boisterous crowd of guests gathered to support the Museum.
The King (Gene Daly) introduced the Fund-A-Need section of the evening, making donation requests with Museum Director Kate Eilertsen in between songs and with himself chipping in to match selected donations.
Wet Paint took on a cosmopolitan Las Vegas theme this year with a sleek aesthetic, contemporary furnishings, and a Martini Bar rechristened the Artini Bar. Gaming tables filled the main gallery and several leaders of the Valley’s business and social community could be seen enjoying the games, including Tim Freeman, Nicki Naylor (Alain Pinel Realtors), Jeff Gibson (Sotheby’s International), Diane Krause, Garreth Snedekar (Wine Country Group).
Let the good times roll!
