What do we do on a wet and cold winter weekend? We go out and enjoy what Sonoma has to offer. Our first stop was the opening reception of Eco Chic:
Towards Sustainable Swedish Fashion and Daniel McCormick: Iterations of Ecological Art and Design exhibitions at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. Showcasing Swedish fashion designers who take an environmentally friendly and ethical approach to their work, without sacrificing an ounce of fashion, along side with McCormick ‘s sculptures from riparian materials and designs them to influence the ecological balance of compromised environments. We soon forgot about the cold weather and were transported to a warmer climate by the dramatically chic pieces and sculptures on display. These exhibits run through May 15.

Next, we stopped by the VinOlilvo event held at The Sonoma Lodge, your one-stop introduction to the Valley’s best wines and culinary delights from restaurants, caterers, and artisans. This event gets better with time, as always there was plenty of to do, sample and enjoy. Aside from the great and numerous vintages and the delicious and generous food samplings, participants visited with old friends and made new ones. The crowd was there to celebrate and savor all that Sonoma has to offer and they did. We did!
Yes Virginia, there is a lot to do and enjoy in the Valley of the Moon.
