Noche en Copacabana - This Cuban themed fundraising event was beautiful, colorful, delicious, entertaining, and inspiring. It was great way to spend an evening and help La Luz Center continue with its mission.

The evening’s co-chairs Marcelo Defreitas and Karen Adelson along with a great team of volunteers and staff did an amazing job of transporting their guests to a fabulous time in Havana. Where the caipirinhas, sparkling wine, martinis and wine flowed free to the great sounds of Orquesta La Moderna Tradición and moves of the Aquarela Brazilian dancers.

In the sold-out crowd were seen: Tim Freeman, Tim Murray and Nicki Naylor (Alain Pinel Realtors), Jeffrey Gibson, Inge Hutzel, Bob Kowal, Ginger Martin, Carol Sebastiani and Tina Shone (Sotheby’s International) and many others.

Did we mention that we all had a great time, and that they raised more than $300,000? Yes, Sonoma residents know how to throw a great party for a great cause while looking great doing it.
