Rude behavior at 'The Birds'
Last evening, my daughter and I attended the Sebastiani Theatre to see the film, "The Birds." We had planned this for several weeks and were looking forward to an enjoyable evening. I had told my daughter about the wonderful intros and background information presented by theater staff before and after the showing of classic movies.
We arrived in plenty of time to find our seats. Unfortunately, the two we chose were in front of two couples whose behavior prior to and during the film was appalling. They laughed out loud to the point that it was difficult to hear the dialogue, talked and made rude comments. My daughter and I glared at them several times, they would tone it down a bit and then they would proceed with their rude behavior.
It's funny, but I don't recall that "The Birds" was ever considered a comedy.
I have one suggestion for these people: Next time, rent the movie and watch it in the comfort of your own home where you can behave however you like and not spoil a theater showing for those unfortunate to be sitting near you.
