Robin Chase

Robin Chase of Kenwood, died peacefully on April 9, 2011. She was 77.

Robin was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Lyda Sweeney Holman and Alfred Holman. They moved to Trenton, N.J., and she attended Wellesley College.

She married Gordon Chase in 1955. Gordon was in the foreign service and they lived in Washington. D.C., Karachi, and London. They settled in New York City. After her divorce, Robin was a teacher at The Little Red Schoolhouse, and then attended Hunter College and became a licensed social worker.

She married Jeep Kuhn, a toy inventor, and they retired in Sonoma. Robin was very active with the Bouverie Preserve; she was a great lover of nature, a staunch supporter of education and a passionate liberal Democrat.

She is survived by her children, Chris, Peter and Emily Chase; her stepchildren, Steve Kuhn, Thom Kuhn, Sally Samson, Mike Kuhn and James Kuhn; and 12 grandchildren whom she adored.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at the Kenwood Depot, 314 Warm Springs Road, Kenwood, CA 95452, on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 4 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Duggan's Mission Chapel, Mission Cremation Service, 525 W. Napa St., Sonoma, CA.
