Robert Lloyd Ruise Sr.
Robert Lloyd Ruise Sr. passed away peacefully on July 5, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Napa. He was surrounded by the dedicated and kind-hearted staff that cared for him for many years.
The son of George and Anna Ruise, Robert Ruise was born on July 16, 1928, in Los Angeles. At the age of 17, Robert served his country in the Merchant Marine. He lived in the Napa/Sonoma area for most of his life and loved fast cars, fishing, bowling, the Oakland Raiders and visiting the Lake Tahoe/Reno casinos. Robert was a proud Teamster's member who drove truck for a living, and retired in the mid 1980s due to health issues.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brother, Edward, and sister, Georgiana. He is survived by his brother, Jim, of Sonoma; and six children, Robert, Dennis, Jerry, Tommy, Sharon and Jimmy; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was laid to rest with his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia, at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park at 1900 Franklin Ave., in Santa Rosa at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011.
