Quality Roofing sturdies its place atop BGCSV men’s summer hoops

Though Quality Roofing dealt itself only its second loss of the current Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sonoma Valley 25-years-old-and-over Sunday (formerly Wednesday) Night Summer Men’s Basketball League by having to forfeit last Sunday, the front-runners still have a firm hold of the top-spot with a 9-2 record.

Following first-place Quality Roofing in the standings are the Blackout’s 6-5 mark, 5-6 each by Wine.Woot!, Amigos and Murphy’s Irish Pub, and Vegas’ 3-8.

In last Sunday’s games at the Maxwell Farms Regional Park BGCSV court, Blackout beat Vegas 54-39, led by Luis Campos’ game-high 27 points, Mike Adams’ 10, Nufo Alvarez’s and Alvaro Ortiz’s six each, Jordan Ruiz’s three and Jeremy Mecasio’s two. Vegas was paced by Joe Neely’s 14 points, Devin Ajax’s 11, Tyler Hathaway’s eight and Jason Campbell’s six.

Amigos upended Murphy’s Irish Pub 72-60, led by Nick Haley’s and Zack Jacobs’ 18 points apiece, Tyler Dixon’s 17, Mike Ryan’s six, Travis Clegg’s five, Drew Halter’s and Derrian Jermon’s three each, and Armando Cazares’ two. Pacing Murphy’s were Ryan Tunheim’s game-high 23 points, Tim Ausiello’s 17, Charlie Gonzalez’s 15 and Chris Risse’s five.

Wine Woot! won on a forfeit by Quality Roofing.

This Sunday’s, Aug. 14, games feature Wine.Woot! playing Murphy’s at 5:30, Amigos facing Vegas at 6:30, and Quality Roofing battling Blackout at 7:30 p.m.
