Prima Trio to perform at Trinity April 16
The award-winning Prima Trio returns to Sonoma with a program of traditional and contemporary works in concert at Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 16, at 3 p.m.
The Prima Trio was founded in 2004 by three young virtuosi who were then studying at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio. In 2007, the trio won the coveted grand prize at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, as well as Midwest Winners Tour and a European debut concert in Italy.
Since then, the trio has performed throughout the United States and Europe.
The trio includes Boris Allakhverdyan, clarinet; Gulia Gurevich, violin/viola; and Anastasia Dedik, piano.
Sponsored by the Sonoma Classical Music Society, the trio will feature works of Antonio Lotti, Darius Milhaud, Srul Irving Glick, Robert Schumann, Astor Piazzolla and Peter Schickele, also known as PDQ Bach.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for members of the Society, $10 for students, and are available on the society's website www.sonomaclassical.org, from Readers' Books and Pharmaca and at the door.
