Plein Air opening Saturday

There will be an artist reception and exhibition opening hosted by Wine Country Plein Air from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Fairmont Gallery, 447 First St. W., Sonoma. The exibit runs through Oct. 17.

The exhibit features original paintings of both plein air and studio works by 15 of the top "Sonoma/California" plein air artists, painting landscapes in the plein air tradition. Their inspiration will be the autumn colors of Sonoma landscapes during the harvest season. This is exclusively a gallery exhibition only.

Artists will paint original paintings in oil, pastel or watercolor on location. Exhibition will also include, for the collector's pleasure, special studio paintings by the artists. Hosted and curated by the Fairmont Gallery.
