Painting in Plein Air

In celebration of the annual Plein Air Foundation fundraiser, 45 artists, including Niles Norquist of Star, Idaho, descended on the Plaza during the Tuesday night farmers market for a Quick Draw, where artists where given two hours to create a completely new piece that was then put on sale at Charles Creek Winery on the square. All of the artists will share their work during the Art Fair and Sale on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The daylong event offers a chance to see all of the work painted during the week, meet the artists and see live painting demonstrations. A significant portion of the proceeds from the art sold will be donated to the Plein Air Foundation, which funds artistic educational opportunities for Valley students.
