Paint the Town Purple set for May 1
To celebrate the national kick off of Relay For Life, the biggest fundraiser of the American Cancer Society, Sonoma will Paint the Town Purple. On Sunday, May 1, from noon to 3 p.m. all residents are invited to wear purple, bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon on the Plaza.
Purple cupcakes will be served and information will be available for how to get involved with Sonoma’s Relay For Life, set for Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Sonoma Valley High School Track. The mayor will read a proclamation declaring May 1 as Paint the Town Purple Day in honor of Relay For Life. Activities will take place in the northeast corner of the Plaza.
