Overturned car
An 80-year-old Sonoma woman suffered minor to moderate injuries Tuesday morning when the car in which she was riding overturned after striking a parked vehicle in the 800 block of West Spain Street. According to a report from the Sonoma Police Department, the woman was a passenger in a Toyota driven by an 83-year-old Sonoma woman. The women were westbound on Spain Street, when the driver sneezed causing the car to veer to the right, striking a parked vehicle. After striking the parked vehicle, the tires on the Toyota dug into the pavement causing it to roll. The driver escaped injury while the passenger reportedly suffered a head injury and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Both women were wearing seatbelts. No citations were issued.
