‘Our Town’ at Presentation School

Friday, Nov. 3 and 4, at 7 p.m. on the McNeely Stage at 20872 Broadway.

Oct 27, 2011 - 04:06 PM

The Presentation School Middle School Drama Department will perform Thorton Wilder's "Our Town," directed by Lauren Miller, on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 3 and 4, at 7 p.m. on the McNeely Stage at 20872 Broadway.

This classic play explores life, love, death and loss in a small, quintessentially American town.

The cast is comprised of Presentation Middle School students.

The Presentation School stages two full-length student theatre productions each year, a fall drama and a spring all-school musical.

Last spring's “Peter Pan” played to a packed house and received rave reviews. The school's spring musical will be announced on the opening night of “Our Town.”

Miller said, “The mission of Presentation's performing arts program is to teach the students to appreciate the work of others, to prepare for a life-long interest in the arts and to use a theatrical setting to experience empathy, apathy and a deeper understanding of others.”

Tickets at $10 and available at the school office or online at www.presentation school.com.

The Presentation School is an academically rigorous, independent K-8 school based upon and guided by Catholic values, located at 20872 Broadway in Sonoma.
