Newcomers tea raises $8,000
Newcomers President Barbara Stauder introduced representatives of the two organizations that benefitted from the club's annual event
This year's Philanthropic Tea, held at Cornerstone gardens, was one of the most successful yet for the Sonoma Newcomers. The organization raised more than $8000 for the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance and the Sonoma Valley Museum Association. Much of the silent auction and raffle items were donated by merchants of the town. More than 100 women enjoyed an afternoon of sweet and savory snacks, wine and of course, tea.
