Market season opens
Courtney Poole, with Oak Hill Farms, weighs produce for a customer Tuesday at the opening night for the farmers market on the Plaza. The market, under new control, appeared to be a big hit with one crowd estimate of about 2,000 people. Bill Dardon, president of the Valley of the Moon Certified Farmers Market, said he couldn't be more pleased with the turnout and added that six of the vendors sold out. Dardon said that all of the vendors told him they did well. The Tuesday market continues through the end of October.
