Sandra Hagstrom, 7-1/2, of Sonoma, listens to the sound she makes on a brass instrument at last weekend's Katmandu Festival. The two-day festival featured crafts, music and food from Nepal, Tibet and India. All proceeds from the event benefit Children's Medical Aid Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing corrective surgery for Nepalese children with birth defects, and for building medical clinics to serve impoverished families in rural areas of Nepal.
