Let's support first class entertainment
Editor, Index-Tribune:
On Saturday evening, April 2, the Sonoma Valley Community Center, in conjunction with the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, put on a show of shows called Trashion, a most entertaining runway fashion event. This involved hundreds of hours and people addressing the subject of recycling in its many forms. The fashions were imaginative to say the last. There was a line around the block outside SCC and inside it was standing-room-only. How heartwarming it is to see the Sonoma community embrace such an event to that extent.
Yes, it was for entertainment, but more importantly it demonstrates the desire to keep the programs at SCC and SVMA going during this time of financial hardship. These organizations provide so much to everyone all year round, they depend heavily on a sound membership base to stay afloat and we can all show our thanks by becoming members and support them. It's the right thing to do.
