Jul 7, 2011 - 05:37 PM
As part of their summer humane education camp at Pets Lifeline on Wednesday, Phoebe Blantz, 10, cuddles with Jealousy, a rat who survived serious wounds after ending up at Northstar Rescue, who save rodents of all kinds throughout the Bay Area. They operate a program called Pocket Pets, teaching children about creatures such as hamsters, chinchillas and rabbits. Phoebe's twin sister, Olivia, is on the left and Silian Kopp, 11, right, waits for his turn to hold the popular critter.
