The scenario of needing to win their Sonoma County League match while receiving help from another league-showdown in order to snare a piece of the SCL crown played out perfectly for Sonoma Valley High School’s varsity volleyball girls.

In their regular-season finale last night in Forestville, the Lady Dragons defeated longtime rival El Molino in four-sets, which, coupled with Analy’s victory over Petaluma, earned them an SCL tri-title.

Entering yesterday’s matches, first-place Petaluma had a one-game lead over second-place Sonoma and Analy. But in the wake of the evening’s results, all three teams now share the SCL title.
