James George Karuza

James George Karuza, 84, died Jan 10, 2011, in Sonoma.

He was a native of San Francisco, living in the Mission and Excelsior districts.

He graduated from Corpus Christie Grammar School and St. Peter's High School.

James was a veteran of United States Army-Air Corp, World War II, a shipping clerk and custodian for the United States Post Office for 18 years.

He was a Eucharist minister and lecturer at Corpus Christi Church and a member of the Don Bosco Senior Club.

He was the former husband of Emma Lou Willard, until her death in 1982. He moved to Sonoma in 2000.

A graveside committal service with military honors was held at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011.
