Infineon Raceway major events start, next-up is Historic Motorsports Fest
It was two-wheel action at its best when Infineon Raceway opened its 2011 Big O Tires major events season last weekend with West Coast Moto Jam Amercian Motorcycle Association Pro Road Racing.
Next up for major events at Infineon Raceway is the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5.
Then Infineon’s most-popular and attended spectacle, the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR weekend, will make its 2011 appearance in the Valley on the weekend of June 24 to 26.
Rounding out Infineon’s major events for the year are the NHRA Division 7 Drag Racing weekend of July 22 to 24; the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals from July 29 to 31; the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma weekend of Aug. 26 to 28; and the Classic Sports Racing Group Charity Challenge on Oct. 1 and 2.
If you want the most inclusive ticket package for Infineon’s 2011 major events, then you should purchase the raceway’s Track Pass, which costs $399 and includes tickets to all major events, plus season-long VIP parking, a Pre-Race Pit and Track Pass for NASCAR, a garage pass for IndyCar, a hot lap around the road course, and more.
Besides the all-encompassing Track Pass, and individual race tickets, Infineon is also offering a variety of ticket packages to the popular Toyota/Save Mart 350 NACAR Sprint Cup Series the weekend of June 24 to 26, including the Sonoma 2-Pack – two reserved tickets for $99 for the June 26 race-day.

Infineon Raceway continues its popular Wednesday Night Drags every Wednesday through Nov. 16, with the weekly evening of motorsports including the “Top the Cops” program – designed to help take illegal racing off the streets and bring it to a safe, legal and controlled environment – and Drifting.
The Wednesday Night Drags are open to anyone with a driver’s license, and they can race any vehicle or motorcycle they bring to the track, provided it passes a simple tech inspection.
“Top the Cops” allows high school students the opportunity to drag race against law enforcement officers, who will be driving their squad cars.
Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing spans from 5 to 10 p.m., with the cost being $25 for competitors – $15 for students with a high school ID – and $10 for spectators. Season-long passes are also available.
