Infineon Raceway is revving-up for new major events season
While the rains keep on coming, they can’t drench the enthusiasm of everyone involved with Infineon Raceway, which is preparing to begin its 2011 Big O Tires majors events schedule.
The West Coast Moto Jam AMA Pro Road Racing will open the new season from May 13 to 15; followed by the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival on June 4 and 5; the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR weekend from June 24 to 26; the NHRA Division 7 Drag Racing weekend of July 22 to 24; the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals from July 29 to 31; the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma weekend of Aug. 26 to 28; and the Classic Sports Racing Group Charity Challenge on Oct. 1 and 2.
The most inclusive ticket package that Infineon Raceway offers is the Track Pass, which costs $399 and includes tickets to all major events, plus season-long VIP parking, a Pre-Race Pit and Track Pass for NASCAR, a garage pass for IndyCar, and more.

Infineon Raceway recently began the 23rd season of its popular Wednesday Night Drags, which take place every Wednesday evening through Nov. 16.
The Wednesday Night Drags are open to anyone with a driver’s license, and they can race any vehicle or motorcycle they bring to the track, provided it passes a simple tech inspection.
Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing spans from 5 to 10 p.m., with the cost being $25 for competitors – $15 for students with a high school ID – and $10 for spectators. Season-long passes are also available.
During the Wednesday Night Drags beginning in April, Infineon Raceway will feature its “Top the Cops” program, which is designed to help take illegal racing off the streets and bring it to a safe, legal and controlled environment.
“Top the Cops” allows high school students the opportunity to drag race against law enforcement officers, who will be driving their squad cars.
