In praise of barefoot Austin

Editor, Index-Tribune:

I am simply amazed: Sonoma Valley High School "buckles under to gangs," altering its dress code, certain colors not to be worn. What power the gangs wield.

But, when a student chooses to abstain from wearing shoes to support a well-publicized campaign, he's punished.
Such duplicity!

Times have certainly changed, and not for the better, since I attended and graduated from Sonoma Valley High School.
Go Austin, I heartily support your endeavor.
SVHS is in dire need of aloha spirit.
