I-T, community thank law enforcement

The Index-Tribune and the Sonoma business community came together to say a heartfelt "Thank You" the the Valley's law enforcement officers. On July 29, the I-T ran a full page Thank You ad, supported by a variety of local businesses.

"The response was immediate and overwhelming, businesses were quick to support this page," said Denise Cordoni, classified sales manager at the Index-Tribune. "Sonoma appreciates its police officers and sheriff deputies."

The hometown paper then had that ad turned into a commemorative plaque which it presented to both the Sonoma Police Department and the Sonoma Valley Sheriffs Office.
