Historic Charity Challenge weekend at Infineon Raceway
Longtime Sonoma resident Bud DeLauer sits in his 1967 Triumph Spitfire, which he raced during last year’s CSRG Charity Challenge at Infineon Raceway. In fact, DeLauer, who has been racing sports cars for 43 years – he started racing in 1968 and drove in the inaugural race at Infineon (then Sears Point) Raceway in 1969 – has raced in every Charity Challenge at Infineon since the event first took place in 2004.
The Classic Sports Racing Group’s popular Charity Challenge weekend, featuring a wide array of historic cars, has arrived for Infineon Raceway’s final major event of 2011 Big O Tires schedule, with the racing action taking place tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2.
