Funds raised, Mohawk accomplished

Oct 20, 2011 - 06:10 PM
Altimira Middle School Principal Will Deeths told his students that if they raised over a certain amount in the school’s inaugural Pledge-A-Thon, he would have his hair shaved into a Mohawk and dyed gold and green, the school’s colors. The students raised more than $11,000 and Tuesday, Deeths kept his part of the bargain. The event was times to coincide with Altimira’s “Howl” fundraiser Saturday evening at Little Switzerland.
