Four drug arrests at Hyde Rd. residence

May 5, 2011 - 04:12 PM

Four people were arrested on various drug charges, including possession of a controlled substance for sale, during a probation search at a residence in the 21000 block of Hyde Road on April 27.

Sgt. Greg Stashyn, with the Sheriff's Valley substation, said when the six deputies arrived at the residence and detained several individuals, one parolee fled over the back fence.

But he didn't get far as a deputy was stationed there ready to greet him. The jumper quickly surrendered as the deputy had his gun drawn.

During a search of the residence, deputies found evidence that led them to believe the person occupying the room may have been selling drugs. Deputies found methamphetamine, scales, packaging materials and a payout book in a room occupied by Naomi Mallinen, 51, of Sonoma. Mallinen was arrested on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance for sale, felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested was Michael Warner, 50, of Santa Rosa who was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle or syringe, being under the influence of a controlled substance, a felony parole violation and a felony probation violation.

The 30-year-old fence jumper was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, resisting or obstructing a peace officer and a felony parole violation. Also arrested was a 40-year-old Sonoma man who was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance and a felony probation violation.
