Flora Violet La Franchi, 98, born Oct. 28, 1912, in Geyserville, passed away on Jan. 27, 2011, in Kenwood. She was the wife of the late Charles LaFranchi; mother of the late Letha (La Franchi) Skorke. She grew up in Healdsburg and moved to Petaluma after her marriage and lived there until 1959 when she moved to Sonoma.
Her priority her whole life was her family. She enjoyed her granddaughter, grandson, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In her younger day she loved to visit her many siblings and in-laws. They had many family gatherings. She enjoyed bowling, was a volunteer at Sonoma Valley Hospital Auxiliary as a pink lady. She loved to play bridge and belonged to a bridge group for many years. Even until the end she loved to play cards.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Susie Snetsinger; grandson, Dan Snetsinger, great-grandchildren, Allison and Grant Snetsinger, of Glen Ellen; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a crypt side service at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Ave., Santa Rosa, on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 W. Napa St., Sonoma on Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
