Five Valley fire seats on November ballot

 

Three seats on the Glen Ellen Fire Protection District and two seats on the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District will be on the November ballot.

The nomination period for the election opened Monday and runs through Friday, Aug. 12. If an incumbent doesn't file by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, other candidates have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, to file.

The terms that are up on the Glen Ellen Fire Protection District are those of William Lewis, Robert Wagner and Alexa Wood. All three seats are four-year terms.

The two seats on the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District are currently held by Robert Jackson McLean and Fred Unsworth.

Candidates may obtain and file their nomination papers with the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters, 435 Fiscal Drive, Santa Rosa. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
