Exhibit looks at wine industry

An exhibit on the wine industry in the Sonoma Valley in the 19th century will open on Monday, Oct. 3, at the Gen. Joseph Hooker House, 414 First St. E.

Included will be a reproduction of a postcard of a padre plowing a vineyard, of Vallejo and of Haraszthy, as well as photos of the Chauvet, Ten Oaks and Stuart, will be on display.  Also included are two reproductions of paintings done of Aguillon Winery by French painter Leon Trousset and some information about the Gundlach and Dresel vineyards.

The exhibit is expected to be open through December. The exhibit is open Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and docents are available to assist visitors.
