It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Elio Ramacciotti on Monday, June 27, 2011, in Sonoma. He was 91.

Elio was born in Petaluma, to Narciso and Fidalma Ramaccioti on June 1, 1920. He was employed at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard for more than 43 years, and was an active member of the St. Francis Solano Men's Club, the Young Men's Institute, and for many years a dedicated coach for the Sonoma Valley Little League.

To the Ramacciotti family
I was a second grade student of Miss Ramacciotti (Joyce) @ Prestwood Elementary in Sonoma.
My father was Vance Osburn - then the principal @ Flowery Elementary or perhaps by then the principal @ Altimira Intermediate. My father always spoke so highly of Mr. Ramacciotti and was happy I was instructed by his daughter.
Miss Ramacciotti - you are well remembered. We Sonoma Valley/Prestwood alums have posted class pictures and reminisce. We remember your kindness; your youth in a school well populated by seasoned teachers.

So sorry for your loss.
Thinking of you

Probably in the second grade @ Prestwood in 1966-1967 or so.
